As a Parent your choice of childcare is one of the most important decisions
you’ll ever make.

At Rachael’s Playhouse we are two registered childminders working together with assistants and our aim is to offer the best high quality care and to create a warm, safe and caring home based environment in which each child can develop their full potential through praise and encouragement, sensitivity and mutual respect. Due to the small numbers of children being cared for each child gets the important one to one time as well as doing activities all together.

Rachael’s Playhouse will give young children boundless opportunities to learn through imagination, creativity, play and lots of outings to have real life experiences about the world around us, while offering parents peace of mind that their child couldn’t be better cared for in a lovely home based setting.

We are able to offer full time, part time, before and after school (including school runs) and holiday care.

Rachael’s Playhouse is a childminding setting located in a cul -de -sac in the Aberdare area. Children from birth to 8 attend the setting at different times throughout the day.

Rachael’s Playhouse has 2 Base rooms and a secure `all weather` outdoor garden area offering an extended learning environment to all children.

The main playroom is provided with developmentally appropriate resources and furniture and staffed with suitable qualified staff and assistants.

Training is paramount and is undertaken on a regular basis and covers all aspects of child care including first aid and food hygiene, Rachael has a level 3 childcare qualification and is aiming to do her level 4.

We are a "Flying Start" registered setting and a member of the
"Children Come First" network for RCT,
And also approved by CSSIW, NCMA and RCT.

The main language we use in the setting is English although we do try and bring a bit of welsh into the setting by singing, basic words and books.
