I am passionate about creating lovely things and have been knitting since I was very little, my Gran, Julia Cotton and my mother Joyce Matthews, instructed me in the art and joy of knitting and showed me how it was possible to be completely absorbed in creativity. This is something I see now in my beautiful and industrious daughter, who has embarked on her own creative life. My background in teaching and social work has added to the mix a passion to support, share and develop skills and knowledge in others and I have an abiding sense of social justice. The Wool Shack provides an outlet for these creative and community focused interests and will, I hope inspire others to tap into their own creativity, learn something new, buy something lovely and join in a community who love to knit and crochet.
