Trimdon Concert Brass is a friendly, motivated contesting and concert band, as of January 2017, in the 4th section.

Trimdon Concert Brass began life as the Thornley Colliery Band in 1870 and under this guise were founder members of the Durham Brass Band League. The band relocated to Trimdon in the early 1990s, a move that brought the band closer to its player base and has resulted in strong links being forged throughout the wider East Durham area.

We have a flexible approach to membership and welcome players of varying abilities. We are also able to loan instruments free of charge if you do not have your own.

For those looking to book the band, with a library of over 2000 pieces, we can offer a wide and varied musical programme to suit most occasions, ranging from hymns, to traditional marches and overtures to more modern pop tunes.
