Our aim in ‘Reaching out to families’ is to work in partnership with families, local communities and partner organisations to ensure all children will have access to high quality early years and childcare provision, integrated family support and other services to meet their individual needs and enable them to fulfil their potential.

We achieve this by delivering services both from our Children and Family Centre buildings and out in the community and by offering a range of holiday activities and adult learning and volunteering opportunities.

What does the Children and Family Centre offer?

• Information, advice and guidance on a range of issues, such as childcare, parenting, child safety, debt, breastfeeding, etc
• Family support and home visiting service
• Play and Learn Together sessions for under 5
• Extensive toy library
,• Oral health community shop (products sold at cost price)
• Visits to Pre-Schools.
• Courses for parents (first aid, cookery, etc)
• A range of volunteering and training opportunities

The activities programme for the Group will be published termly. Other information such as holiday activities, courses and news of specific interest to families with young children will be posted when available.
