2211 (Bracknell) Air Cadets is an air minded organisation for ages 12 - 18 - we offer a wide range of activities and meet 2 evenings a week, Mon and Weds.
Who are the Air Cadets?
2211 (Bracknell) Air Cadets is an air minded youth organisation, who provide a range of challenging, unusual and amazing opportunities and activities all aged 12 - 18 years old. Please note that the lower age limit is 12 and started Year 8 at school in 2014. We parade 2 evenings a week, Monday and Wednesday, from 1915 to 2130 hrs.
What activities are on offer?
As an Air Cadet, there are an immense amount of opportunities available if you want to take them! Some activities we offer are flying, gliding, first aid, road marching, leadership courses, camps in the UK, overseas camps, fieldcraft, expeditions, Duke of Edinburgh award, shooting, rock climbing, skiing, community events, drill and parades, aviation studies, camping, radio communications, aviation modelling and more!!
How do I join?
If you are interested in joining, please get in touch! We hold regular intake evenings - the next will be Monday 23rd February 2015 at 1930 hrs. Prior to this, we would love to welcome you down to the squadron for a tour and a chat about all the things we do.
How can I get involved as an adult?
2211 is run by a team of adult staff, some uniformed and some civilian. As well as cadets, we are always looking for adult staff volunteers - either to join the squadron staff or to represent us on our civilian committee. You don't need any special skills or qualifications to join us, just a willingness to get involved! if you would like more information or are interested in joining as an adult volunteer - get in touch!
