Abingdon Silver Group

The Abingdon Silver Group is a friendly club with facilities for silversmiths and jewellers in South Oxfordshire. All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced. www.abingdonsilvergroup.org.uk

We meet once a week at the workshop in the John Mason School in Abingdon.

We raise, sink, forge, drill, solder, texture and polish to make silverware and jewellery, from cufflinks to candlesticks, tiepins to tankards and rings to rose bowls.

We have access to a wide range of equipment from basic tools to specialist machinery. This includes polishing machines, hammers, triblets, soldering hearths, stakes, swage blocks, a collet block, doming blocks, a surface plate, a rolling mill, an enamelling kiln, drawplates, and a ring stretcher.
