DP World operates the UK’s second largest container terminal within the Port of Southampton, which handles just under half of the UK’s deep sea trade with the Far-East.
The Port of Southampton is the UK’s busiest cruise port with four dedicated cruise terminals handling over 1.2 million passengers per year.
Southampton is a leading port for roll-on/roll-off vehicle imports and exports, including commercial cars and high and heavy plant equipment.
Bulk cargo is also transported through the port, such as grain, glass and scrap metal.
The port houses the UK’s only import terminal for fresh produce directly from the Canary Islands (mostly tomatoes).
