Acle railway station is on the Wherry Lines in the east of England, serving the town of Acle, Norfolk. It is 10mi down-line from on the route to. Its three-letter station code is ACL.HistoryOpened by the Great Eastern Railway in 1883, it became part of the London and North Eastern Railway following the Grouping of 1923. The line then passed on to the Eastern Region of British Railways upon nationalisation in 1948.When sectorisation was introduced, the station was served by Regional Railways until the privatisation of British Railways.Today the station is served by Abellio Greater Anglia, which operates the services between Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
