We are a registered charity working to improve the lives of people aged 50+ living in the Gateshead borough.

Set up in 1972, Age UK Gateshead is an independent autonomous local Charity and a member of the national Age England Association. Together our team of staff and volunteers provide services or run activities for approximately 800 people per week. We provide services such as, information & advice, Day Centres, social groups and healthy lifestyle classes.

All of our services are supported by volunteers and without them our work wouldn't be possible.
We have a wide range of opportunities and we are always in need of more volunteers
