Alder Barn is a stunning barn conversion self-catering holiday home located in the beautiful and historic countryside village of Ashwell.

The property is full of character, is a place that genuinely makes you say wow when you first walk in.

Though it’s not all about the looks, there is lots of space for families or groups of friends; with flexible accommodation with all bedrooms on the first floor.

The property is owned by Abi & Jon, who decided that having stayed at lots of holiday homes throughout the UK with both groups of friends and their young family, that they could ‘do better’

We specifically welcome and have catered for young children with black out blinds in the bedrooms, facilities such as high chairs and a baby bath, plus books and games, and CBeebies!!

We’ve not forgotten about the adults with fast free WiFi, a big TV with lots of films and TV shows via Netflix. We also have a well kitted out kitchen with all the equipment and facilities you’d expect – decent sized fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier.

Ashwell is simply stunning, with its lovely local shops, Ashwell Spring, plus lots of country walks. You also have local amenities such as two pubs, local stores, Indian takeaway, Post Office, plus a hairdressers, an art gallery and more…

If you want even more choice then Baldock is a very attractive market town only 10 minutes’ drive away.

You are also not cut off, London is only 45 minutes on the train from Ashwell & Morden station, plus Cambridge is again only 40 minutes’ drive!
