Looking for something fun to do on balmy Wednesday evenings throughout the summer? Newton Abbot RFC is running a Summer Tag League at their Rackerhayes ground behind Fairway Furniture. Anyone can turn up, from 7 to 70 (or older!). If you can’t quite find enough people for a team, come down anyway and we will find you some extra players, so don’t be shy.

Registration for the games will start from 6.30 on the main pitch and entry is £1 per person, adult or child, making it affordable for everyone. Teams will be made up of 10 players, 7 of whom will be on the pitch giving 3 subs for anyone needing a rest. Matches will be 15 minutes each way, and we will run two sets of games each evening with the second set starting at 7.15; so if you can’t get away from work early enough make sure you get down by 7 and we’ll get you on the pitch in the later set of matches.

The clubhouse bar will be open for refreshments and food will be provided after the last games finish. There’ll be lots of club members present so if you’re looking to get back into rugby after a break for career, injury or babies make sure you come and have a chat. Tag rugby is a fun and exciting game and at Newton Abbot’s friendly club we welcome anyone who fancies a try out whether you’ve played before or not.
