Based in Kingskerswell, South Devon, Alterations and Creations can help you with all manner of sewing tasks; from shortening a dress to making curtains!

My name is Lin. Having learnt to sew aged 11 at my mother’s knee, I have built my skills over the years, making clothes for my children, curtains for friends and customers and bespoke one-off items for babies.

I love to sew, knit and crochet and offer a number of services, including:

Alterations through machine and hand sewing
Repairing items of worn or torn clothing/furnishings
Curtain and cushon cover making
Reupholstering soft furnishings
Designing and creating things based on my own patterns
Knitting and crocheting items to order, using my pattern or yours
Baby shower gifts – one, two and three tier nappy cakes including handmade items
