Alton Cars Ltd is a network of professional & friendly vehicle repair centre's across Yorkshire, Humberside, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire.

The company was established in 1979 when current Group Chairman Tony Parish and his business partner Alan Stephenson opened their first repair center in Leeds, combining their first names to call it ‘Alton’ Cars. Having built a reputation for quality and attention to detail, Alton Cars gradually expanded its Leeds operation into two purpose-built units on Saxton Lane and by 2007, Alton Cars Leeds had again relocated to a new, ground-breaking site in the Cross Green area of Leeds. Further afield, the company had already begun to expand by acquiring other well established bodyshops. In 1999, Minister Coachworks joined the Alton Cars Group to become Alton Cars York. Throughout the next decade, further acquisitions saw Knaresborough Body Repairs, RC Jones Motor Bodies & Huddersfield Accident Repair Center join under the banner of Alton Cars Harrogate, Alton Cars Barnsley & Alton Cars Huddersfield. In more recent times the group has opened purpose-built repair centers, equipping them with cutting edge equipment & technology. In 2014 the group opened two new repairs centers, Alton Cars Hull & Alton Cars Doncaster to give the group strategic coverage of the whole of the Yorkshire & Humberside regions.
In 2016 the groups been back on the acquisition trail with the purchase of Beeson & Galloway, Blenheim Express Repairs & JD Bodyworks, with significant renovation works carried out at the sites to bring them up to scratch. These sites have been re-branded as Alton Cars Ashbourne , Alton Cars High Peak & Alton Cars Mansfield respectively as the group moves into the Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire territories.
