Timber frame construction is the developed world’s most widely used residential building method. With the integral steel frame allowing the Armadilla to be forklifted, craned or helicoptered it takes the concept to hitherto unimagined possibilities. (Site office, temporary residential, medical / therapy, disaster relief, mountain bothy, heat cabins (biomass), tourism related, kiosk, water borne and much more.)

The shape of the sides, known as a spherical rectangle, is an immensely strong profile and has references to the Golden Mean and the Fibonacci Sequence. This may partly explain the remarkable appeal the Armadilla has to all who see it.
