Ashbourne Animal Welfare, registered charity number 1014249, is dedicated to the rescue and re-homing of stray and unwanted cats and dogs. All the residents have comfortable accommodation, receive the best of care and stay as long as is necessary to find a loving new home. The rescue centre itself (The Ark) is just outside of Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

There are monthly Open Days, when you are welcome to visit and see what is done and visit the current cats and dogs. At other times, visits to The Ark are by prior appointment.
