Baby basics work with midwives and health professionals to provide moses baskets and starter kits for vulnerable women in Bolton and Bury.

Baby Basics was founded in 2009 at the King’s church in Sheffield, we will be operating this scheme in Bolton & Bury From January 2016.

We will be accepting referrals from the vulnerable adults midwifery team operated through Bolton NHS

Baby Basics also work with health visitors and other professional bodies to provide starter packs for those in need. We can help vulnerable groups such as teenage mums, asylum seekers, and women fleeing domestic violence and trafficking.

Our Moses baskets provide a safe bed to sleep in and are packed full of toiletries-nappies, wipes, maternity pads etc as well as blankets, towels and baby clothes.
For some these are the only items they have for their child.

- Moses baskets and sheets
- Nappies (newborn size)
- Shampoo for both babies and mums
- Liquid wash for babies
- Baby lotion
- Shower gel for adults
- Adult toothbrush and paste
- Maternity pads
- Baby wipes
- Towels and blankets for babies
- Clothing for babies (newborn and 0-3 month size)
We welcome second hand items in excellent condition as well as new. If we are unable to use the items for any reason we will pass them along to another organisation.
