Bainbridge's Buff Orpingtons
Originating from Orpington in Kent, Buff Orpingtons are excellent dual purpose chickens, as they will grow to a good, heavy table weight, but are also very productive egg layers. On average you can expect between 175 and 200 eggs per year from one Buff Orpington.
Orpingtons are known to be docile birds. Aside from their practical aspects, they make excellent pets.
Their large stature makes them a good garden bird, as they do not fly and can be restrained by low fences.
The Orpingtons that we own and breed are large fowl. These birds have been bred and reared around dogs and children.
