BAM Construction is delivering the new Dunfermline High School on behalf of Fife Council
The new, £29m, 17,700sq.m. school is being built on the current playing fields. The new school will accommodate 1,750 pupils and will be an excellent resource for the local community.
Sustainable initiatives include the use of solar panels, rainwater collection, water-saving devices, and renewable energy sources, including a wind turbine. Monitors in all classrooms will ensure a balanced supply of fresh air. The new build school is set to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
Facilities of the new state-of-the-art school include a sports hall, two gyms, dance studio, mini theatre, workshop, library, and conference accommodation.
