Football club set up in Beaminster for children aged 5 - 6yrs

As the father of an energetic 4yr old I have been looking for a local football club for him to attend for nearly two years. I could not find anything local so I decided to start one myself. I have 30yrs experience in football as player and coach and I am employed as a PE Teacher at a local secondary school. My football sessions will be taught in a FUN, pressure-free environment. As well as being physically active each session will have educational benefits, stimulating imagination and aiding early developmental skills such as learning colours and numbers, following instructions and playing as a team. The FUNdamentals include social, emotional, physical and football specific skills that will help each individual improve as a player. These FUNdamentals are described below;

Social and Emotional
~ Good peer interaction and participation
~ Actively involved in creative play

Physical
~ Emphasis on warm ups/cools downs and stretching to improve physical performance
~ Basic ability to travel with the ball where they choose and how they choose

Football specific
~Able to keep the ball relatively close to the body while moving.
~ Develops good directional dribbling skills and strong striking skills.
~ Can stop a slow moving ball.
~ Will be able to hold the stop position and move the ball with their sole.
