Beeston Primary School - Charity Single Launch

The School Choir at Beeston Primary School are preparing to record and release an original song, "Child of the Universe" for charity.

"Child of the Universe" is a song with music by Danny Gamble, and lyrics by Yvonne Ugarte. It was written specifically for the prestigious "School of Sanctuary" awards at Leeds Civic Hall in October last year to bring awareness of the increasing number of displaced children in the word who are caught up in political conflict and war, and their desperate need for sanctuary.

It received great praise and it was suggested that it be recorded and released as a single for charity. It will soon be available to purchase online at many major retailers such as iTunes and Amazon, worldwide.

ALL of the proceeds will be split between too charities; Leeds City of Sanctuary, and Challenge Ministries (Swaziland). Beeston Primary School sponsor children in Swaziland, and in July this year Danny and Yvonne are joining other teachers on a visit there to, amongst other things, initiate music and songs to the established choir over there.
