The Bembridge Swans were built of wood and a few of the 20 or so that were built in the 1950's still survive, a testament to their owners' dedication. Many are the more recently produced GRP version and they are a fine and versatile vessel: roomy enough for a family picnic, fast enough to make racing interesting.
