Bibury Cricket Club is a family oriented club located in the Cotswold village of Bibury. The club is currently looking to add to both the midweek 20/20 team and Sunday friendly side, with any new players welcome to come along and see what Bibury is all about.
Formed over one hundred years ago - Bibury Cricket Club is steeped in history. A good standard of cricket has been consistently produced at Lady Hill - with the club at one stage able to field a number of league sides that enjoyed years of success. Perhaps the biggest milestone in the club's history was hosting ex-England pace bowler turned Sky Sports commentator Bob Willis' testimonial match. The nearby Bibury Court (the main club sponsor) was formerly a venue for the England Cricket Board to collect for selection meetings.
in 2016 the Club are re-entering the Cirencester evening league after an absence of several years. These games will take place on Wednesday evenings.
On Sundays the Club will be playing friendly matches, usually 30 overs per side, and we welcome players of all abilities.
Moving into the 2016 season Bibury Cricket Club will be striving to maintain the same standards of cricket and family friendly atmosphere as in 2015. Both the family day and fete are set to return, a great chance to come and meet the people of Bibury and members of the club. So why not come along and take a closer look?
