Buckfastleigh Open Air Pool is part of the Victoria Park Buckfastleigh charity which was founded in 1887. It was due to close in 2015 following years of neglect.

A group of local volunteers campaigned to save it and took over control as trustees in April 2015. We raised £75,000 to fix and improve the pool and a further £220,000 to build a new skate park and adventure play area.

The charity is now entirely manged by volunteers and employs a team of local lifeguards to keep everyone safe. We rely on grants and fundraising to keep us going!
