Byfield Bowls Club is a mixed lawn bowling club set in the heart of rural south Northamptonshire.

The original club was founded in 1950 and closed in 1957. It wasn't until 1985 that the club was reinstated under chairman George Bell. Together with a handful of members, the field was once again returned to a playable surface. The first official bowl was rolled up the green on 5 May 1986. Under the Brightwell Recreation Association, the pavilion was built with Lottery funding, a grant from the Sports Association and covenants from club members. It was officially opened 7 June 1988. Today, Byfield BC is a thriving club with around 40 members and a full fixture list. Several of its members have achieved County Honours and played in national finals. However, the club welcomes members of all ages and abilities to one of the most picturesque settings in the County.
