Cakes by Ceri

Bespoke and personalised cakes, whether it be a birthday, baby shower or even a wedding, I can create a cake for your special occasion. Based in Chester :)

I am a self-taught home baker and cake decorator based in Mickle Trafford, Chester. I hold a 5 star food hygiene rating with the Food Standards Agency, alongside a Level 2 award in Food Safety and Hygiene in catering and I am fully insured.

Please do message me with your theme and ideas and I can give you a specific quote :). Prices are dependent on the detail and size of the cake. All cakes and decorations are handmade by myself wherever possible and many hours go into preparing and creating them.

You are welcome to provide your own figures/toys/toppers for your cakes. Cakes will come in their own gift box. Please inform me if you have a food allergy or intolerance.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for cakes and large orders of cupcakes, this secures your date. Deposits can be cash or through Paypal/bank transfer. The other 50% will be on collection or before. Please enquire about last minute orders, I will try my best to help.

The client owns the cake once the order has been paid for in full and it has been collected or delivered. It is the client's responsibility to inspect and check the order at the time of collection/delivery, once received Cakes by Ceri will assume the client is satisfied and Ceri will not accept any further responsibility.

Cakes by Ceri is not held responsible for any cakes that are damaged or lost after collection or delivery. Cakes by Ceri cannot be held responsible for deterioration of a cake if the client has failed to collect on the arranged day.

In order to keep your cake in perfect condition it must be stored out of sunlight and at room temperature. Cakes should not be refrigerated or kept in an air tight container prior to cutting or serving or the fondant will sweat/lose its shape.

Tiered cakes or fondant figures etc will be supported by food safe wooden or plastic dowels dowels which must be carefully removed before serving. Some elements of your cake may be inedible (these will be stated on collection). Floral decorations or models may contain wiring.

Sponge cakes are best eaten within one week of delivery, cupcake within 3 days.
