Carmarthen & District of The British Sugarcraft Guild meet on the 1st Thursday of each month from 7pm.
Open to anyone interested in Cake Decorating & Sugarcraft both members & visitors with a programme of activities throughout the year.

The British Sugarcraft Guild (BSG) was inaugurated officially on the 17th March 1981 by a number of enthusiastic cake decorators who were united firmly by their love of the art of sugarcraft.
With a swan and its reflection as a logo, a Newsletter for new members and its motto ‘My Craft is my Art’ the British Sugarcraft Guild was born.

The aims and objectives of the Guild are to:
• Promote and stimulate interest in sugarcraft
• Share knowledge
• Develop talent
• Improve standards

Our members range from complete beginners through to professionals and can benefit from the following:
• The British Sugarcraft Newsletter:
Members receive ‘The British Sugarcraft News’ quarterly publication, reporting on sugarcraft events and including diary dates of forthcoming sugarcraft and allied events. It is designed to keep members informed about what is happening in the Guild.
With skills pages and business matters along with other issues, all helping to keep members updated. Contributions come not only from UK members, but also from Overseas members in many countries.

• Over 100 local branches across the UK:
Meeting on a regular basis with an invited guest sugarcraft demonstrator; it’s a great way to meet new and old friends.

• Sugarcraft Events:
The Guild has many events throughout the year & encourages its members to actively get involved. This meeting of minds gives you a great opportunity to meet with like minded individuals who share the love of sugarcraft.

• Cake Insurance:
We offer an insurance scheme at preferential rates to our members who make cakes for sale.

The Guild also offers training and accreditation to members wishing to specialise in sugarcraft demonstrating or judging.
