WHAT HAPPENS IN A CASP WORKSHOP?
CASP workshops can take anything from half a day (standard workshop appraising 1 research paper) to five days (training
CASP facilitators to run their own workshops).
We use different scenarios and research papers depending on the participants level of knowledge, interests and what they want to achieve. A typical workshop is divided into three sections:
Presentation discussing critical reading
Small group work with facilitators
Feedback session where we discuss the findings of each group
After the workshop we ask all participants to complete a feedback form to let us know their thoughts on the workshop - did it fulfil their expectations?, and to gather suggestions of how we could improve.
