Truro & District Branch is a branch of the national feline welfare charity, Cats Protection. It operates separately from Cornwall Adoption Centre.
Truro & District Branch of Cats Protection was formed in 1984. We are a group of enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about cats and their welfare.
Registered Charity: 203644
FOSTERING - Our Branch currently has 4 purpose built cat pens in the gardens of supporting volunteers. These cat pens have been funded by the Branch and our volunteer fosterers give their time to care for cats whilst the Branch finds suitable loving homes.
HOMING - Volunteers make a home visit to make sure that each cat is being adopted into a suitable environment. We aim to make adopting a cat from us a pleasure that lasts the lifetime of the cat.
FERALS - Truro Branch has volunteers with years of experience helping feral cats in Cornwall.
NEUTERING - We advocate the neutering of cats.
FUNDRAISING - Our charity shop in Truro is our cornerstone. Please help us by shopping there and donating good quality items. Our volunteers organise fundraising events. All funds raised are spent wisely for the maximum benefit of the local cats we assist.
VOLUNTEERING - We are always keen to welcome new volunteers. There are lots of ways in which you can help. You'll enjoy being part of a team of like-minded people.
