CCDA started in 1997 with 10 enthusiastic performers, and over the years has developed and diversified to offer classes for boys and girls aged 2 ½ to adult. Although we have maintained a strong emphasis on traditional Classical Ballet and Modern Theatre technique, we now offer classes in Tap, Jazz, Street Dance, Freestyle, limbering & strengthening, Musical theatre (acting, Singing & dance) cheerleadingand Contemporary Dance. We offer an enjoyable and broad-ranging introduction to the performing arts, as well as the specialist training required when pursuing a career in the disciplines.

CLASSES:
Regular weekly classes are supplemented by workshop days, summer schools, competitive dance festivals, Performance groups as well as audition coaching for vocational schools.

ACHIEVEMENT:
All pupils are encouraged to achieve the best they can. We offer regular grading opportunities for modern, tap, ballet and jazz. Our results boast the highest grades.

PERFORMANCES:
All pupils are given the opportunity to perform in the annual Summer Show. This gives all dancers a fantastic opportunity to perform in a professional theatre environment, with the disciplines of costuming, lighting, staging, rehearsals and a big enthusiastic audience.
We offer opportunities to perform in the local pantomimes, fashion shows and in many charitable events. We have provided dancers for pop videos, the New Brewery Arts opening, Painswick Wearable Art Festival, the Royal International Air Tattoo Fairford, as well as Her Majesties theatre London.

PROGRESSION:
We regularly support pupils who wish to take their dance skills to nation level, and have achieved both JAs & MAs (Junior and Mid Royal Ballet Associates)as well as the Urdang Academy,Italia Conti and Laines Theatre Arts School Associates which have led to performances at national level, and entry to vocational training.

PROFESSIONAL LINKS:
All abilities benefit from the guidance of our highly qualified and experienced teachers. This is supplemented by industry guest teachers and former pupils who are now professionals , who help to stimulate and encourage, enabling your skills and knowledge to develop at your own pace.


CCDA has alot of past pupils now at professional colleges and working in the performance industry.
