Central Stage - 07957 461 569

Central Stage Academy offers boys and girls the chance to have separate lessons in drama and singing on a weekly basis.

Our energetic and informative sessions will allow students not only to gain performance skills but will build confidence and self-esteem in a friendly, secure environment.

DRAMA
During our drama lessons students will learn about warming up the voice and body, improvisation, mime, scripted performance, acting for the camera as well as being creative and working within a cast. Students will also have the chance to undertake the prestigious LAMDA speech and drama exams should they wish. Further information will be provided separately when the time comes for us to submit applicants but in the meantime, please have a look at www.lamda.org.uk for an idea of how the exams can benefit your child.

SINGING
Our classes will incorporate a vocal warm up, pop and musical theatre singing, microphone technique, diction, rhythm and tempo as well as choral singing. Students will also have the chance to work towards graded examinations with the distinguished London College of Music (LCM) in either pop or musical theatre singing. Further information will be provided separately when the time comes for us to submit applicants but in the meantime, please have a look at http://www.uwl.ac.uk/academic-schools/music/lcm-exams for an idea of how the exams can benefit your child.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

We aim to offer our students as many opportunities as we can through examinations, performances and professional productions. We will be an Arts Award registered centre (please visit www.artsaward.org.uk) which is an exciting, creative award which can offer valuable UCAS points for our older students. We are looking to forge further relationships with industry professionals and will always let all of our students know about any upcoming auditions for professional TV and Musical Theatre productions. We will also hold presentations and performances as regularly as we can to allow friends and family to see our progress!
