I'm a freelance writer, journalist and communications specialist. I've worked in the media since 2004 - as a writer, researcher and broadcaster. I have an English degree from Cambridge and an MA in Creative Writing.

I was at the BBC for ten years - mainly making programmes for Radio 4. In 2013 I moved away from broadcasting to focus on writing. With professional experience writing blogs, press articles and social media, through to direct mail, digital and corporate copy, I've got the skills to help you find the words.

My recent clients include the international street children's charity, Railway Children, and leading UK school reviewer The Good Schools Guide. I've also written for The Guardian, The Big Issue North and Standard Issue - plus countless scripts for Radio 4.
