We provide emergency food and restore hope to the lives of people living in crisis situations across the Cheadle and District area.
Cheadle District Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust's UK-wide foodbank network. We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food to individuals and families in crisis that have been referred to us by local care professionals.
At the foodbank cafe clients exchange their voucher for food supplies. Here they also recieve a warm drink, a listening ear and signposting to other professionals who can help tackle the root cause of the crisis
We rely on the local community for food donations, from cartons of longlife fruit juice to tins of meat or fish, all of which is sorted by our hardworking volunteers. Anyone can donate non-perishable food or toiletries to us by simply popping in to the Oakley room at the guild hall while we are open on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Cheadle and District Foodbank. There are lots of ways you can get involved, ranging from volunteering at a food collection, donating food yourself or helping to fund the work the Foodbank does. Please visit our website for more information.
