Colne Valley Park - 01895 833 375

The Colne Valley Park covers over 40 square miles and is the first real taste of countryside to the west of London.

The Valley hosts a mosaic of farmland, woodland and water, with 200 miles of river and canal and over 60 lakes. It is also a living, working environment, providing employment and homes for many people as well as being a haven for wildlife.

There are a number of activities taking place within the Colne Valley Park all year round. Check out the website listed below for up to date information.

Country Parks.
There are a number of parks across the Colne Valley offering surfaced paths, picnic areas and places to play.

Circular Walks.
These vary from 3 to 8 miles and are an excellent way to explore the Colne Valley. Mapped routes are available from the visitor centre for 25p or can be downloaded for free from www.colnevalleypark.org.uk

Short Walks.
These are 12 short walks of up to 4 miles starting at different points across the Valley. The walk booklet is available from the visitor centre for £2.95 or individual walks can be downloaded from the website above.
