CDUK is a registered charity - No 1113505, giving direct, practical help to children & families living in abject poverty.
Since we began in 2003 we have been supporting children & families living in the streets, shanty towns & mountains of South America.
Recently we have begun to extend our area of work to incorporate children & families wherever we find a need that we are able to fulfil.
Our most recent campaign is Knit for Kids where we are encouraging people to make hats, scarves and gloves for children & families in refugee camps & war torn areas. We are sending goods to Syria, Ukraine & Palestine. Prior to this our most recent project was to install several rainwater harvesting tanks at a rural school on the borders of Bolivia and Argentina where their well had run dry.
We are also raising funds to dig a well for a school in Sierra Lomas a mountain school in northern Argentina where they have no water and often have to make the choice of buying water or food from their tiny budget.
CDUK work for the alleviation of child poverty and the support of under privileged people as they struggle for survival and social justice. We achieve our objectives by working with community groups & organizations who require external funding and support.
Where necessary CDUK create & support new initiatives & help families acquire the skills necessary for independent living. CDUK believe that we living an interdependent world where universal education benefits us all.
CDUK aim to reduce our carbon footprint & to promote good environmental practice in our projects wherever possible.
All our projects are researched by UK trustees & funding is delivered directly to projects bypassing other agencies. CDUK ensures that the money &/or goods you give go directly to those who need it most.
We have no paid employees and are entirely dependent upon voluntary contributions.
