Some of the world’s best boating, fishing and shooting are found nearby, as well as a huge range of scenic, top quality golf courses. There is also biking, horse riding, canoeing and kayaking, plenty of castles and battlefields for an historic day out or the chance to nose the fine whiskies of the Highlands’ distilleries.
