Dry Stone Dyking

Hello my name is David Bourne.

My page is for my new venture into self employment as DAB HAND.

I have worked with Historic Scotland for the passed 7 years and within that time I have completed a 4 year apprenticeship in stone masonry including a 1 year advanced craft course.
This has allowed me to work on some great historic buildings around Scotland, learning how to conserve and restore in the traditional ways.

Now I would like to put these skills to use elsewhere .

This means creating bespoke pieces in stone for home, family, friends or loved ones no longer with us.
For others this can mean garden features from as little as repairing that cracked stone in the path, to newly built drystone dykes. If it involves stonework get in touch.

There is no obligation to buy, free quotes and a friendly chat about what you are wanting to create is all part of the service. So if you have an idea and it is regarding stone then please give me a call.

Thank you for taking the time and hope to hear from you soon.
