Dalbeattie High School is a small rural school which prides itself on its warm and friendly atmosphere. As the roll of the school is only around 400 pupils with 40 staff, a community spirit is quickly established.
Everyone in the school is committed to ensuring that all our students achieve the high standards that they are capable of and, in the spirit of a Curriculum for Excellence, develop into successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors.
The school itself is situated close to the centre of Dalbeattie in one of the most attractive areas of the South of Scotland, designated a National Scenic area, close to the Solway. A location amidst farmland, with an outlook to the granite hills of the Stewartry beyond, provides a magnificent setting for the school.
