It's all here in black and white.
The first dentons directory was published in Bath in 1967 and started life as a little black and white directory. We had the idea to put all the useful businesses and organisations in the area into one small book - so people could carry it around and easily find the things they needed.
Over 40 years on and we’re still working to the same formula, only now each directory has grown to include thousands of entries. We now cover a much wider area than ever before. What’s more, we’re now available online and have even expanded to cover some parts of North America.
But we still offer the same friendly, efficient service that we’re known for, helping people find products and services close to home.
dentons are designed to maximise usage. The root of dentons success is the publics desire to shop locally, for convenience and economy. Each directory is delivered annually free to every address - business and private, town and village - within a defined community. They list those supplying goods and services only to that area, resulting in a publication that is both concise and reliable.
Recent years have seen continuous improvements to the content of the directories. As a result commercial and domestic usage has increased significantly in all areas. This in turn has led to an increased demand for listings in the directories, increasing reliability further.
Each of our directories has a map of the area printed in the back. It’s something we’ve always done and something our customers and users have always valued. It means our directories make it even easier to find the products or services you want in your area without getting lost in the process.
The dentons in-house delivery service is second to none. Over many years we have developed a closely monitored system that assures total coverage. Using reliable full time staff we deliver to every address from High Street shop to rural farm.
Each and every directory also includes a comprehensive range of essential national information such as ombudsmen, passport and DVLA offices, driving test centres, motoring and health organisations, trade associations and much more.
