The very dedicated volunteers of the Heritage Centre extend a very warm welcome all to you. Why not browse through the exhibitions, archives, shop and model railway and enjoy discovering (or remembering) something from days gone by!

The Gallery has approximately 86 linear feet of well-lit wall space, with 3 large velux windows set in a vaulted ceiling. The Gallery is available for hire to individuals or groups of artists, crafts people, clubs and societies and travelling exhibitions on a daily or weekly basis.

The Guildhall Heritage and Arts Centre is situated behind the Exmoor National Park Centre/ Dulverton Library. Open seven days a week from Early April to the end of October, it gives visitors a taste of old Dulverton, celebrates the Exmoor Red Deer and offers a variety of other exhibitions based on local history, geography, architecture or the natural environment, which are changed regularly. A working model of Dulverton Station (circa 1935 - please refer to separate opening hours below) can be enjoyed as can visiting the art gallery where local artists exhibit their works (please refer to our gallery timetable for further details). We have a fantastic archive room housing The Michael Deering Photographic Archive - a unique and fascinating collection of photographs of Exmoor, Dulverton and District - some images taken as early as the 1800's. Our dedicated researcher is happy to help with the documentation and discovery of your own family/social history. The shop has a variety of souvenirs and local crafts for sale. Town tours are organised throughout the season and additional tours can be arranged by prior appointment. A timetable of talks by visiting speakers are also scheduled thoughout the season. Bespoke visits by schools, groups and youth organisations can be accommodated by prior arrangement.
