Dursley Male Voice Choir

The Dursley Male Voice Choir was founded by a group of enthusiastic singers in 1978 & has since grown to be one of the principal male choirs of the region

The constitution of the choir requires it to be non-political and non-sectarian.

The object of the choir shall be the study and practice of choral music in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by public performance.

In developing the objectives the choir has fostered links with several charity organisations including:-

Headway of which the choir is a patron.
The choir is closely associated with the Bristol Branch and each Christmas contributes to its Festival of Nine Readings and Carols service traditionally held in Frenchay Parish Church.

Hope House Childrens' Hospice.
The choir’s latest CD has as its title ‘Another Day’. The title song of the same name was commissioned in support of the organisation. The sale of sheet music contributes to the running of the hospice as does the sale of every CD copy the choir sells – a portion going to Hope House.

A wide range charitable organisations over many years have been supported through concerts performed by the choir including:-
