Dear Parent, Grandparent and Carer,
I have been a flight attendant for over 20 years and I have always been incredibly grateful for the extensive first aid training I have received during my career. That, along with having dealt with many serious first aid situations on board an aircraft (mostly half way over the Atlantic Ocean) has given me untold comfort when it came to my now teenage children - I would know what to do if the worst happened.
I have since had another baby, and find myself, yet again, faced with the same worries all other parents have. More specifically, its my job to protect this defenceless little person. Thank goodness I have this vital first aid knowledge. I then began to wonder where other parents gain this knowledge and quickly learnt, through my new network of mummy friends, that it really is hard for them to get this information without having to travel far, commit a whole day to do it (very difficult for new parents) or spend a lot of money.
I then decided to further my training which now enables me to share this invaluable knowledge with you all.
