Informal group dedicated to learning and sharing all things polymer clay. We meet in Stanpit, Christchurch one day a month on a Sunday.
The East Dorset Polymer Clay Group is a non-profit social creative group who share the fascination for polymer clay, often known by the trade name Fimo, Premo, Sculpey, Kato and other names. We meet once a month with our pasta machines and far too many other tools and gadgets, and create our own wonderful, unique and individual art and jewellery. Our aim is to nurture everyone's innate creativity, encourage, educate and generally have a jolly good time making mess, fun, and with a bit of luck, artwork of all types we love.
We are currently a small group, and meet on the second Sunday of the month at Stanpit Village Hall.
We are affliliated to the British Polymer Clay Guild, but membership of the Guild is not compulsory.
Children are welcome, but must be accompanied at all times by an adult, as sharp blades and heat are part of the process. An fee of £6 per individual covers the hire of the venue. We provide our own supplies and equipment.
