Epigentics Ltd was founded in May 2011 by Chris Astill-Smith, Clive Bingham, Bob Kite and Gill Farr

Epigenetics is the science of understanding how perception creates the biology of our bodies.

Epigenetics is mediated by environmental signals through perceptions which in turn can change the read out of our genes. How you see the world selects which genes are going to be activated and modifies the read out to make proteins that best fit the environmental circumstances of the time. Perception runs our genes, but not all perceptions are true. Misperceptions can miss run our genes. Misperceptions are interpretations of the world that are inaccurate. Inaccurate perceptions will inaccurately run our biology which will lead to dysfunctions and disease which is why thought becomes a prominent contributor to the state of health we express. Perception is the primary mechanism that controls our biology.

SEMINARS:

At Epigenetics we do not just sell you products but we provided seminars and workshops to show you how to work with you patients to identify presenting issues and how they can be fixed.

All the seminars are presented by Chris Astill-Smith D.O. DIBAK who is a Registered Osteopath graduating from the British School of Osteopathy 1970. Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics at the British School of Osteopathy 1973-80 and in Arthrology and Myology 1981-89. He obtained his Diplomate from the International College of Applied Kinesiology 1988 and lectures internationally on Functional Biochemistry most weekends. Awarded Assistant Professor status at the Institute for Manual Medicine, Russia 1992. Chris calls upon 41 years of experience of clinical management and will share with you his extensive knowledge in the subject as well as a multitude of clinical pearls.

He founded Epigenetics in May 2011 after leaving Metabolics Ltd which he co-founded in 1992.
