Equine thermal imaging providing a complete diagnostic service for you and your horse.
Based in Derbyshire, Equine Imaging provides an exclusive diagnostic service to the East Midlands and surrounding areas with the use of thermal imaging.
Infrared thermography or "thermal imaging" as it has become more commonly known, is a completely non-invasive monitoring tool which utilises the latest infrared imaging equipment, to detect the smallest of differences in the horse's thermal condition. This allows us to quickly identify abnormal thermal patterns which may be related to an injury or disease, often before other clinical signs are apparent. Early identification of injury or disease may prevent development of more severe conditions and also allow monitoring of horses during the recovery process.
We can also use thermal imaging to monitor the effects of training before, during and after competition, to aid with the horse's fitness training.
Equine Imaging offer a saddle imaging service which quickly and accurately show's where the saddle, pressure pad, numnah etc. is in greatest contact with your horse’s back, and where it may be exerting uneven pressure. We do this in three stages, firstly an image of the underside of the saddle is taken prior to exercise, another after your horse has been wearing it for a short while and then finally after being ridden for a short time.
