Lochaber Libraries provides the community with access to IT equipment, weekly events for adults and kids as well as special events such as Author visits.
Across Lochaber there are 6 community libraries: Ardnamurchan Library, Caol Library, Fort William Library, Kinlochleven Library, Knoydart Library and Mallaig Library. We also have a mobile library service delivering a comprehensive library service to other areas of Lochaber and Badenoch.
Fort William is the biggest community library located on Fort William High Street. The library provides access to a wide range of print material, IT equipment, weekly events for adults and children, as well as special events such as Author visits.
Ardnamurchan and Kinlochleven Libraries are located with their respective community campuses alongside schools and community centres. They to provide access to a wide range of print materials, regular events for adults and children as well as special events.
Caol Community Library is located on the new community campus in Caol. They provide access to a wide range of print material, regular events and special events.
Mallaig Community Library is located with the Community Centre in Malliag providing wide access to print materials, IT equipment and regular and one off events.
Knoydart Library is a small library on the idyllic Knoydart Peninsula. This library provides an essential service to the local community and tourist population.
We also provide collections to the Small Isles.
