It's FREE to join the library and borrow books from any age (babies too!); up to 16 items at a time can be borrowed for three weeks. (You will need to provide proof of your name & address to enjoy the full range of services). When you borrow books on an under-5s ticket we won't charge you fines and we don't charge for damaged children's books.

Wroughton Library is part of Swindon Libraries - this means that once you are a member you can borrow a book from any of the 15 libraries around Swindon, and return it to any of the other locations. So, for example, you could borrow a book from the Central Library in Regent Circus whilst on a shopping trip (stop for a coffee at their cafe!) and then return it at the Wroughton Library when you've read it.

Free car parking in Ellendune Centre Car Park, opposite Wroughton Library. (Supermarkets, Post Office, butchers, newsagents, florist, cafe & other shops nearby. Also walking distance from local Doctor's Surgery).

Our Library also has a very good selection of film DVDs for weekly hire - great for a cosy night in! Children's films and TV characters from just £1 per week hire.

Home Library - is a service for those that have difficulty getting to the Library or carrying books home. Just contact Wroughton Library for more details. (This service is run by volunteers from the WRVS).

Volunteers wanted - to help with coffee mornings & other library events - to help with the Home Library (WRVS) - & to help with the Summer Reading Challenge. Just enquire at Library, or call us if interested.

The success of your Library is measured not just by the number of people who visit it but also by the quantity of books that are loaned out, the usage of the computers and the number of new members - so please do join, use us & borrow the books!
