Glenview cottage is steeped in local history. Built in the 1880’s this former fisherman's cottage and also at one time local post office has without doubt hosted many guests. Looking directly out onto the Urr Estuary which flows in from the Solway Firth, with picturesque views of the hills of Screel, the outlook truly reminds us that peace and tranquility still exists.

Glenview has recently been fully renovated, retaining many of its original features and offers a modern interior with all contemporary conveniences including central heating to make your holiday comfortable and relaxing. The garden, situated up steps around the back of the cottage offers spectacular views of the water with its ever changing impressive Scottish landscape.

With 3 bedrooms (2 twin and 1 double), the cottage comfortably sleeps 6 adults.

-Bed linen and kitchen towels and cloths are provided - please note that bath towels are not provided.
-A travel cot is available for our younger guests
-Central heating throughout
-Fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, cooker, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer
-Dogs are welcome on appointment only (maximum two at an additional cost of £20 per week)
-No smoking permitted indoors
-Private parking is available directly outside the cottage

Steps lead up to a sunny secluded garden where one can enjoy the magnificent views of the Solway and watch the boats sail up and down the estuary. Due to the location and the steps, the garden may be difficult to access for the very young and disabled. There is however a small garden area outside the back door. Children should be supervised at all times in the garden and out the front of the house.
