Graig Goch Farm is a 125 acre family farm, which has been farmed for over 6 generations. Anne Evans who currently farms Graig Goch has a suckle cow herd and a small number of Suffolk cross sheep. With farm incomes reducing, this family farm needs to change and diversify in order to survive.
Mari Goldsworthy has a BA Hons in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management and has spent 15 years working as a buyer and project manager in the automotive industry for such companies as Land Rover and Bosch based in both UK and Europe. When she returned to the family farm in 2011 following a secondment in Hungary, her baby boy William was born and a complete change in her career.
In 2012 Mari started working as the Farming Connect facilitator for Glamorganshire and over the last 2 years, she has used her local knowledge of the local farmers/farm businesses to engage them with Farming Connect and the benefits/services it offers our agricultural industry. As Mari was an active member of the local Young Farmer’s Club in her youth, her connections have been invaluable in gaining better attendance to Farming Connect meetings.
