Gravesend Borough Band

Welcome to the official Facebook Page for Gravesend Borough Band. We are a concert band composed of around 30 friendly amateur players.

Gravesend Borough Band are a concert band composed of around 30 friendly amateur players, with a wide range of ages. The band has existed for over 130 years, and we feel proud to have this history behind us.

During the course of a year we play concerts both locally, and on bandstands in and around Kent and Sussex. We vary our programme from one concert to the next and our repertoire includes selections and themes from shows and films, popular light music, and marches. We practice once a week and are always on the lookout for new members (as are most local bands), so if you are able to play, used to play while at school and are interested in starting again, or know someone else who may be interested, please find out more about joining us.

We also have a training band primarily aimed at encouraging young musicians.
