Haircuts4Homeless is a community group where skilled hairdressers give their time free of charge to give haircuts for homeless people in the UK & IRL.
My name is Stewart Roberts and I have been a hairdresser 36 years. I have been volunteering with the Sober Living Group for the last 5 years and through this have developed a good relationship and great respect for the Salvation army in Romford.
After reading about Mark Bustos, who works for the high-end hair salon Three Squares Studio in New York City, spends his days off giving haircuts to homeless people who want them, I was inspired to start this in the UK starting in Havering.
I begin on Monday 9th November 2014 at the Salvation Army building in Romford and have faith that this will lead on to help many people in a great many ways.
A big thank you to Mark Bustos for his inspiration.
